Ohio Citizens Grand Jury
By exploiting the internet, independent journalists have made great strides in bringing objective and balanced reporting to the citizen class; however we have a long way to go. The political class has too much to lose to give up easily. The legal system and “buy-partisan” politics have built a firewall between the political class and accountability to due process and the rule of law. The two major parties control law enforcement and the courts, and even though the internet has leveled the playing field, mainstream media still have an overpowering influence over what “we the people” see and what we don’t see. We should marvel at the accomplishment of our founding fathers, who without the advantage of modern technology and barely three percent of the citizens, united the colonies and overpowered forces from within and without to gain our freedom and independence from a tyrannical power. Just like then, the flame is lit; now it’s time to close the deal. Here’s how you can help.

- Article I, Section 3 of the Ohio Constitution reads: “The people have the right to assemble together, in a peaceful manner, to consult for the common good; to instruct their representatives; and to petition the general assembly for the redress of grievances.” Since 2009 OCGJ has worked with federal law enforcement, several Inspector Generals, fraud investigators with the Ohio Auditor of State and the Greene County Common Pleas Court to resolve a mountain of allegations dealing with public corruption by Greene County elected officials. The best they have done is to kick the can down the road by defending themselves with procedural technicalities. We need to take it to the next level, and the Ohio Constitution gives us the right to do so. If you live in Ohio, contact your State Senator and State Representative and let them know you want an independent investigator to look into OCGJ’s allegations against Greene County politicians and others in the political class who benefited from the 2003 BRAC Initiative Agreement.
- For nearly a decade, Patriot Press Ohio has been investigating the political class in Ohio, but until now served as the only consolidated archive exposing their shenanigans in Greene and Clark Counties and elsewhere. America at the Abyss: A View from the Heartland, published in 2006, offers detailed documentation of the early investigation.
